Position Overview
Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a respected legal firm to find an experienced Legal Specialist for their Tenants' Rights Unit in Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing legal support to individuals and families facing housing challenges, with a focus on eviction defense and housing stability.
Responsibilities
- Interview tenants to identify housing-related legal issues, primarily evictions.
- Communicate with clients and follow up as directed by supervising attorneys.
- Prepare clear case summaries for attorney review.
- Draft legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Conduct factual and legal research.
- Prepare, file, and organize client documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records.
- Perform on-site and off-site client intake.
- Communicate with courts, landlords, and third parties as needed.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling and document preparation.
- Participate in weekly case reviews and unit meetings.
- Stay informed about changes in housing law and community resources.
- Notarize and/or witness documents for clients.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn LegalServer or similar case management systems.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience or coursework related to housing, real estate, or legal document drafting preferred.
- Prior experience working with vulnerable or low-income communities is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish and/or Haitian Creole).
Required Work Hours
Monday - Friday, standard business hours.
Benefits
The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $20.00 to $21.63 per hour.
